designing play
The work of playground designers involves understanding the needs and abilities of children in different age groups, and creating play spaces that are fun, challenging and safe. They must be aware of safety standards and regulations, including those set by organizations such as the ASTM and the CSA to ensure that the playgrounds they design are safe for children to use.
During my time at Dynamo playgrounds I completed well over 200 Proposals with a mix of custom one off designs or modifications to standard play structures. Here are two examples of the project that I worked on.
